At PhotoCast, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect
your information when you use our application to access content from Google Drive, Google Photos, Microsoft
OneDrive, and other sources.
1. Data Accessed
To provide its core functionality, PhotoCast accesses specific user data from your chosen cloud providers
(Google, Microsoft) only after you explicitly grant permission. This includes:
Basic Profile Information: We access your name and email address to identify your
session and personalize your experience.
Cloud Media (Google Photos, Drive, OneDrive): We access the media files (photos and
videos) that you select or that are contained in folders you select, for the sole purpose of displaying
them in the PhotoCast slideshow.
2. Data Usage
The user data we access is used exclusively to:
Display your selected photos and videos on your screen as a slideshow.
Authenticate your account to ensure secure access to your personal media.
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, market research, or any other unrelated
purposes.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or trade your user data with any third parties. Your data is
transferred directly from your cloud provider's servers to your device for display purposes only. We do not
share data with advertising platforms or data brokers.
4. Data Storage & Protection
PhotoCast is designed to prioritize your privacy:
No Remote Storage of Media: We do not upload or store your photos or videos on our own
servers. They remain on your device or in your cloud storage.
Secure Token Storage: Authentication tokens used to access your accounts are stored
securely on your local device.
Transmission Security: All data transmission between your device and cloud providers
(Google, Microsoft) occurs over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS).
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since we do not store your personal media or data on our servers, there is no centralized data retention
period.
Local Cache: Temporary files cached on your device for performance are automatically
managed by your operating system or can be cleared by uninstalling the application.
Revoking Access: You can revoke PhotoCast's access to your data at any time via your
cloud provider's security settings:
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
